Rohan Aras is a CEP, Informatics, and Mathematics student. He is passionate about applying data science techniques to large urban datasets in an effort to understand how fundamental urban systems work. He is particularly interested in the interactions between transportation, land use, and people. His senior project is focused on studying the effects of Commute Trip Reduction transit subsidies on transit utilization by employees of major employers through eighteen weeks of ORCA card transactions. He is performing additional research on undergraduate STEM retention/attrition using UW transcript data.
