Michael Monroe

Michael comes to CEP with more than 5 years of experience in luxury residential construction and currently holds the position of Operations Director at Bromik Design & Build in Kirkland. Michael is also the Partnerships Chair for The BLOCK Project with Facing Homelessness where he is developing systems, processes, and best practices to help scale the project from building a few homes a year to 100+ a year by 2020. Michael joined CEP to expand his knowledge and skills in community development, urban planning, and non-profit management. He aims to transition his passion for construction into the affordable housing space full-time after graduation. Michael faithfully rides a red Bridgestone road bike and enjoys reading vintage bicycle manuals and product catalogs simply so he can “know the specs”. His favorite superhero is Batman, his favorite author is Haruki Murakami, and his favorite athlete is Aaron Rodgers. Michael is also a self-proclaimed audiophile and you can often find him listening to his monochrome display click wheel iPod from 2004.
