Internship Opportunity – City of Puyallup

The City of Puyallup is accepting applications for a GIS/Planning Assistant position, which is a paid part-time temporary internship of approximately 20 hours per week. The assignment will last five months with a possible three-month extension. The position provides mapping and technical support to the Planning Division, with primary technical guidance provided by the Senior Long Range Planner. This could be a good opportunity for one of your students to gain planning-related work experience in a community setting.

The City of Puyallup is situated at the foot of Mount Rainier, just east of Tacoma and approximately 35 miles south of Seattle. The city has gained prominence as a regional commercial and service center for Eastern Pierce County, and continues to serve its residents and neighbors with a strong, diversified economy.
